D.em.A. for business
The Body is the key
Historically, in philosophy, cognitive science and the humanities, the ‘I’ has been regarded as an entity separate from the body.
In this split, a deep disconnection from ourselves originates.
In recent decades, this view has changed thanks to neuroscience, psychology and cognitive science: it is now proven that brain and body are so closely connected that they cannot be separated and are always immersed in a constant exchange with the environment.
The key aspect recognised by science is that embodiment is not just an idea or theory, but an accessible and healing practice.
Although we have realised the importance of the body, we nevertheless lack an integrated approach to bringing embodiment into our daily lives, which goes beyond the ‘consumer’ attitude of wellbeing experiences.
Furthermore, we fail to integrate the dimension of collective change.
Without this, we are stuck in a dynamic that fuels stress and malaise.
D.em.a. works on the two dimensions of change: vertical in the sense of integrated mind-body-life and horizontal in the sense of collective and shared.
We want a world in which we learn to protect our humanity through a paradigm shift in the approach to well-being and the transmission of somatic practices to support change.
